How do i work out the dosage for injectable medications?

I need to work out the medication dosage for my homework.
if i’m injecting vetergesic, which is 0.3mg/ml into a 5kg cat, how would i work out how many ml to give?

2] and weight of cat [ 5 kg ]
3] therapeutic dose -how many mg. to give per kg.
