How do you get rid of illegal immigration?

I keep hearing that you are after illegals. Do you have any idea what the policy implications would be. You can beef up boarder security, but how do you find the illegal aliens that are already here. It would be impossible, or just as expensive as the war on drugs and we all know how thats going. Are we gonna have commercials. "Illegal immigration Kills". Yeah, Nancy (Reagan) can sponsor it. Its a shock to me also that you tight wad Republicans want to spend the kind of money it would take to get rid of illegal aliens, but dont mind cutting social security benefits. You have some very twisted priorities.

There are too many to deport, so someone needs to figure out a way to make these illegal immigrants already here legal so that they can start paying taxes and contributing to the American system of welfare, free healthcare for those how can’t pay, etc. Also, a better job needs to be done at the borders to limit more illegal entry.

Illegal immigrants DO get WELFARE: subsidized housing , food stamps, medicaid, free education, medical care in ERs of hospitals even if it’s as minor as a hangnail (100’s of hospitals have been shut down because the illegal immigrants don’t pay their bills), and the list goes on and on and on.

If there wasn’t so much money being spent on health care and welfare to help keep up illegal aliens, we wouldn’t have to cut Social Security Benefits. The money could be diverted to bail out the FAILING Social Security Fund, which has more people drawing from it, than paying into it. And the slogan isn’t "Illegal Immigration Kills". It’s "Kill Illegal Immigration"! Viva La Twisted Priorities!!

Seems like to me that on May 01 (communist egofest) if we opened fire at the demonstration(s) and killed about 5 million, then we would only have about 19 million left to deport.
Half would leave when the welfare ended. The other half can feel the unfriendly atmosphere when Americans get the guts to say at Jack-in-the-box "HUH? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING??"

Dee, of the illegal immigrants already in the USA, I imagine a lot of them would not be able to pass any new requirements that could be enacted by government to allow them a work visa and/or a quicker path to citizenship. Those who won’t qualify may include the ones who have previously been deported and have returned, as they now have a "criminal record." Also, I imagine there are many who have criminal records from their own countries, so they also will not be able to qualify. And, of course, over time in the USA, many of them will also have gotten criminal records while in the USA illegally and so they won’t be able to qualify for any new rules aimed at helping them become "legal" immigrants. Some won’t be able to pass a required medical exam. Those who won’t qualify or who are afraid that they may not qualify, will not step forward and take a chance of applying and then being deported if they do not qualify. Therefore, even if new laws are enacted to try to give the illegal immigrants currently in the USA a chance at being able to stay legally, there will be very many who won’t even step up to apply, so there will still continue to be a large number of illegal immigrants doing all the same economically draining things in the USA that they have always been doing: Working without a legal SSN; not paying taxes; depressing wages by working for less than a legal immigrant or citizen will work for; flooding the school systems with their children even though they do not pay taxes to support the school systems; flooding the hospital emergency rooms, etc. So, even changing the laws to try to help those who are already in in the USA illegally will not even solve the problem. And more will come, not caring whether they could qualify or not. They won’t even try to apply legally because they never had to before and no negative ramifications came to them before, so why would they think there would be any negative ramifications to continue coming illegally?
First of all, id like to know why so many illigal aliens are spending there INDEPENDANCE day bothering us? do we go down there on the 4th of july and bother them? no we dont. To me, if they want a good cinci de mayo, they shoudl discuss making there country better so they dont have to come here.. weve got enough mouths to feed..HAVE THEY NOT SEEN OUR ECONOMY? they should just go home and take Bush with em.. maybe he can help their country.. hes obviously not helping us.

Why all of you are worried about immigrants? we’re living in this Country since very long time ago, we’re growing here and before of the late news maybe you’re not noticed in all about our presence here. Every day the news are playing with the citizens about the thematic to speak, 2 weeks ago the illegals, last week the gasoline prices, today the illegals march. Then? what we’re doing is just playing the media-games, we’re worried for immigrants but that is not a real hazard. Like the "who’s number 1" says about the Spanish, so what? why not we can speak 2, 3, 4 or more languages? why we cannot learn something different every day? just because we’re "not immigrants"? come on!! this is not a kindergarden problem, there is nothing bad if we know more than 1 language, could be better for anybody, as more as you know as better you do. Also, about the food stamps, section 8 and a lot of welfare programs if you go to any medical clinic you can find social workers trying to enroll new people into the welfare program. Did you know that? When my wife got pregnated we received calls from SSI offering food stamps, section 8 and money. Of course I didn’t take it but just think on this: if you are living just with the minimum wage and you’ll have a baby soon, then you receive a call offering you money, food and benefits… why not? is not to take advantage, is just because the system is offering this to you. you don’t believe it? just go to any clinic and ask for social services for pregnated womans… you’ll be surprised. Then do not blame illegals, illegals are just taking the gift..

Actually, it gets even better as you learn more about me. I’ve had Hispanic friends, I live in San Antonio, I work closely with Hispanics daily, and I’ve even had a crush on a Hispanic girl. Let’s not compare the 2 square miles held by Irish or Italians in New York to the millions of square miles in the southwest. I’m not necessarily talking civil war. I don’t think the USA has the guts to fight a civil war even if there was open strife. I’m thinking of a secession. And am I sure this will happen? Of course I’m not sure. But if given a set of possible choices, why is it unreasonable to choose the choice of CAUTION.

It’s pretty overly simplistic to assume that everything will be fine just because you have a soft spot for immigrants, since you’re parents were immigrants. The illegals hate Mexico? Quite possibly. But that doesn’t preclude them from making a claim that they own the land through their ancestors. Who knows? But I never thought I’d see the recent marches. It totally blindsided me. And the allegiance of the marchers seemed to be along racial lines. That part is particularly disturbing. I never thought I’d see that.

The way to get rid of illegals is to clamp down on all of those who employ them. Most will leave on their own once they have no way to earn money. Additionally, we could require proof of legal residence in order to rent properties. They come here for money first, and opportunities second.
Build a wall, lure them outside, and kick them out.
You can curb but cannot stop illegal immigration.
