Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you. What do they want to see and what should I avoid? Is it to cliche to talk about what you learned from that experience, like life lessons?

It’s not at all too cliche. They are trying to determine what kind of person you are, what situations/events in your life have molded you into who you are today, as well as your ability to compose an essay, (with both comprehension and conciseness).
