How do I convert a loom knitting pattern to the next size loom?

I have a pattern for a beret made on the red Knifty Knitter loom, and I want to know how to convert it to make it on the next size up green Knifty Knitter loom.

Would I increase the number of rows in the body?

The red KK loom has 31 pegs, the green KK loom has 36 pegs. Also, the pegs on the red loom are 1/2" apart, and the pegs on the green loom are 5/8" apart, meaning the stitches on the green loom will be bigger. By making the hat on the green loom instead of the red loom will automatically make the hat diameter will be larger. That in itself may be enough to increase the size of the hat to be what you want.

Many times, you can increase the size of the hat by staying on the same loom, but knitting more rows. Basically, the longer the tube, the more sideways stretch it will have.

Definitely using the larger loom and adding rows will give you a larger size hat.
