How can get sample of air that is polluted with nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide or carbon monoxide?

Is there a way to trap air?
If not possible, how can I simply create air pollutants and how can i expose them to invertebrates in a controlled experiment.
Im trying to see the effects of pollution on hydra.
I really need help, please help me :)
tell me if you dont understand what im asking.

    Hold a jar close to the exhaust pipe of a car, and when it looks full of smoke (carbon monoxide), slide the lid onto it. The older the car, the better, because newer vehicles are equipped with catalytic converters that decrease the amount of the gas emitted.

    I don’t know all the gases released by cigarettes, but it you know someone that smokes, have them hold a lit cigarette under an open jar until it’s full of smoke, and then slide the lid on. Hope this helps…
