How much will it cost to have a regular command start installed?

The car has automatic locks so how much would it cost to have a command start installed with buttons to lock & unlock the doors?

How much would it cost to have one installed with the Stop & Go feature?

What are some good kinds of command starters?

Thanks :)

Never seen an auto start with stop-n-go, which is a different system altogether.
Noting there are only certain models that can be installed with a standard transmission because of the sensors required to disable it if proper shutdown procedure in neutral isn’t followed, I would suggest the $200 models aren’t going to help you much. I estimate minimum $300 to $350, and there will by many more expensive depending on the brand, and the range you want the remote to work. Now if your car didn’t have power door locks, you would need to add for the hardware and labour to make those locks power. If your power locks are working properly now, the hook-up for them is relatively simple.

Bottom line, the price really depends on features. You could spend upwards of $800 easily if you wanted an LCD screen to monitor the status, plus long range, temperature controlled auto start and shut off overnight if car is outside with no block heater on really cold winter nights.

Be aware a true stop-n-go system uses a different starter, and has all kinds of sensors including one on the accelerator that would have to be added. If you were to find one that said it had stop-n-go, I think you would find it would not work reliably, we have them designed into hybrid cars, but not normal cars. Hybrids use high voltage batteries to run the electric motor to bring the gas motor to idle speed before ignition and fuel are applied, you can’t retro-fit that system into a Neon, unless you are willing to spend many thousand of dollars converting it to hybrid.
