What temperature in Farenheit is required to catch clothing afire?

I would like to soup up my dryer so that my clothes dry quicker. What is the ‘flash’ temperature for, say, cotton, and what is a high but safe temp to expose cotton clothing to for about 35 minutes?

The autoignition temperature for cotton is 765*F. I wouldn’t want to reach into that dryer right after it shuts off!
Here’s another fact from the same source:
"Decomposes after prolonged exposure to temperatures of 150?C or over." This is 302*F
I wouldn’t expect rubber seals and plastic parts as may be on the lint catcher to last long, if at all, at this temp.
Also, many synthetic materials melt before they reach ignition temperature. You would have to be sure your temperature is not so high that it will melt your favorite nylon shirt or polyester slacks all over the inside of the dryer.
