Why should dance be required learning in elementary school and middle schools?

Not simply used as a learning/teaching tool, but why should dance itself be studied?
Dance School, Elementary Schools, Learning Teaching, Middle Schools, Teaching Dance, Teaching Tool

Dance is a nonthreatening way of interacting with other kids. Its social value is felt to be more important than physical development. Teaching the history is something else.
