And what is the Flash0 file and how to not mess with it
Also what are the risks/benfits of CFWing it?

Don’t do anything stupid like while your installing something take the battery. Because your on 3000 bricking is permanent (currently) because whenever you brick 1000 or 2000 you can fix with pandora method. If I were on a 3000 I would touch any of the flashes especially flash0 and flash1. flash0 is the most important flash it contains recovery menu (on cfw) which helps when you’ve semi-bricked it. flash0 also contains all the psp files which it needs for it to run. Eg. web browser, video, music, photo, main menu, settings, game. If you really want to mess around in there back it up to your computer and never delete recovery mode (once you have cfw) So when you get cfw read everything if you screw something it’s a brick. I don’t have a 3000 so I don’t know what custom firmware does. On cfw you have full customization. Custom themes change more than just background, recovery menu, plugins, play full psp games and homebrew, irshell, gba and other emulators, free full psx games. There’s more but those are the main things.
