Why do people go to the University Of Phoenix if it has a bad reputation?

My 21 year old cousin recently started going to the University Of Phoenix. From my understanding, that school has a VERY bad reputation. And not to be rude, but she’s not very bright either.
We live in a large city, so she would have a huge choice of community colleges and REAL universities that offer on-campus and online courses.
Why are people still going the University Of Phoenix if it has such a bad reputation?

Some people are stupid enough to believe than an employer will hire a nurse with an online degree, or a medical assistant, or an IT specialist, or a physical therapist, etc. Some people think if it cost more, than it must be better.
News flash. Employers want hands on experience. They don’t want someone who went to school in their jammies for 2 years. Plus, an online degree is pure laziness. Go to a community college for two years, and transfer. Even take online classes through community colleges. At least the credits will transfer.
Any idiot that will pay 30,000 for an associates degree deserves it.
