How to hook up microphone to the speakers?

I have a 2.1 altec lansing speakers. I want to attach a microphone to it so it can amp what ever i say to the mic, how can i do this?

    A mic cannot normally be attatched directly to a speaker. You need a way to amplify the signal. the amplifiere goes between the mic and the speaker. With the exception of bullhorns used at crowds, which have a mic and speaker in one unit.

    not directly. at the very least you would need your computer inbetween the mic and your speakers due to the required signal levels you need.
