Can an officer be a nurse or corpsman? What’s the difference between them? And how hard and competetive is it?

only Nur5ses are Officers. you must already have the BSN in hand before you can seek a commission. they are always looking for qualified Nurses.
HM is almost impossible to get if you are female as it is closed to females at this time.
Nurses are well..NURSES. HMs are glorified EMTs. while they can and may do stuff that any semi trained Paramedic can do their training is NOT recognized as valid and you must still be certified as an EMT or Paramedic once a civilian again.
A nurse would be college educated and most likely an officer. A corpsman is similar to paramedic. There is no competition in the medical field. I was a paramedic here near Chicago & only the stress of the job forced me to give it up. But I suspect in the Navy it would be different. Perhaps even easier because you have such a large team to play with. Many times I was alone & had all the responsibility thrust upon me. It was hard.
