how do i get rid of the get updates from others section in my yahoo mail homepage?

there is this section on the bottom right side of my yahoo mail homepage that annoys me and i would like to get rid of it. how do i do this? yahnoo makes all these changes that they think everyone will love on their homepage and i wish we could set it up as we like or can we and how do i do this?

    Disable the "Connections" feature in your Mail settings–(updates is a part of that).

    Mail page>>options>>mail options>>and the "general" page opens.
    Near the top of that page—UN-check the box by "Connections"—then click "save changes" at the top of the page.
