Servers/Waitresses/Waiters are not robots you know. We try our best to give good customer service, but some people get picky over the littlest things. Why don’t people understand that we’re not robots?

Costumers pay for your service, and they expect to receive what they pay for. Problems arise only when the servicer and the servicee have different opinions of the amount or level of service that is to be given.
If costumers expect you to pour them a fresh glass of water every ten minutes and that’s not in your job description, then explain that to them. If you actually did something wrong, explain that you made an honest mistake, but you’re doing the best you can.
Just ALWAYS stay friendly and understanding. That’s really the most important thing to do. 95% of your costumers will be polite and understanding right back. Remember that they’re not attacking you personally.
Then there’s the other 5%. They are a lost cause; there are always people who want to be disappointed just so they can have something to complain about. If anyone ever shouts at you or calls you a stupid cow, just call your supervisor or manager.
