How someone help me answer questions I have about swimming?

How can I be calm at the swimming pool while doing any activities? I always get nervous. Such as when I swim without holding on to anything. I can only do it for about 2 seconds then I have to stand up again. I find it very difficult to breathe under water.

I cannot even float,

Any tips on how to be calm and do these things properly: dog paddle, putting your head fully in water while being able to breathe and any other basics.

Also if possible, tell me how to do practise them at home :)

Thanks.

You need to be taught how to swim. Once you learn how you’ll feel more comfortable and safe. In the meantime, do small steps, slowly get more comfortable by slowly moving away from the wall and waiting, or learn to float.

Just sit up straight and kick your legs and you will stay in that spot. Umm just hold your nose underwater and you may find it to work better. You can practice holding your nose in the bath!

    Good luck!

Swimming lessons buddy, swimming lessons. Get someone to help you lay in the water and float. Every time you are in the bath, float for 2 more seconds your regular floating time. So say you have 2 seconds, next time add 2 on. 2+2= 4 seconds. Then with help, start moving your arms and legs around a bit, this will help you move around. Take it slowly, and build it up.
