In order to qualified for welfare (TANF) you have to have children. Some individuals qualify for temporary GA (general assistance) who are single such as persons who are recently released from prison, or have an addiction and are seeking treatment. Yes you do have to pay GA back. If you qualify , you can get it almost immediately if you have a need. You will also get food stamps if you qualify. Most welfare receipts get about 400 dollars a month. I don’t know how they live on that, but I guess they do. Also you have to be a legal resident to get assistance illegal immigrants are not eligible. Also most welfare recipients in the US are white.
I’m not sure being that I have never been on welfare, however, I can tell you they get far less welfare than the bankers on Wall st. get, that’s a fact!
you know that is a good question. i wonder if we all just quit working and decided to collect welfare where the tax money would come from that the dems use to pay for it
it’s all on a state by state basis… and could GREATLY vary from say Calif. to Mississippi… in both amount, duration and style…
so, it’s kind of hard to say a number…
but most welfare that I’ve heard about, is less than most people would know how to get by on…
I don’t think you can get welfare unless you have children, that’s why illegal immigrants have a dozen anchor babies.
Single people, who pay for the bulk of welfare, get nothing.
If I had my way, it would be none. Get a job or starve.
I’m sure that you can find all of that information on Google It’s according to the states. . And from what I’ve heard when I was helping the working poor that received it, it’s dirt cheap. I can’t wait to see how long YA allows the kkk @..sshole up there to stick around. I see that the racists agreed with his racist filled comments.
