Its a tough question, but does anyone have an answer to this. Also can you include how this affects the environment.

Just compare the US lifestyle to anyone even Europe. We are bombarded by an estimated 3000 advertisements per day. We have larger homes, cars and closets than any other nation on the planet. We produce more garbage use more energy and just simply have more things. In the aftermath of 9/11 the President told us we should go shopping to show the terrorist they couldn’t destroy our way of life. Look at any new report over the last 2 years, our media and government are desperate to get us back shopping our entire economy depends on us be excessive consumers.
Everything we do, use, buy or consume has an impact on the environment. From extracting the raw materials, processing them, packaging, transportation, storage, stores to sell it in, parking lots to park our cars to get them to our homes which are getting bigger to hold and display it all. As we discover toxins in the products or the manufacturing process instead of finding a cleaner way to get what we need, companies find locations that turn a blind eye to the pollution and toxins. All so they can keep the price low so we can buy more.
