What are some good home remedies for colds?

I’m already taking echinacea and Vitamin C halls, along with some medicine for runny noses and stuff.
What else works? The things bothering me the most are my dry cough (hurts my throat a lot) and runny nose.

for a sore throat, put salt into a glass of warm water and gargle.
Vitamen C helps me too. Aspirin too.
