So I know I want to be involved with music somehow for a living and want to go to school for it, but I’m not sure what. The number one thing I wanna do is play, but I’m particularly interested in music performance because every college in my area (NC) only teach classical or jazz styles (I’m more into contemporary). But there’s music education, technology, industry, therapy, all good options and I’m not sure what to pick. What is the best and most practical feild study?

The most practical thing is to complete your BS degree in your State. You can major or minor in music at most colleges. Then, if you still want a special music degree, search for that kind of college.
