how can a tan be obtained in the winter? granted im in souther cali and though the weather has been fairly moderate, neither both cold or hot…there is still no way a tan can be achieved by going to the beaches in this anything but hot weather.

so how can i tan be achieved? tanning lotions seem to work ok but not as well as the real thing. and im not going to enter a cancer tanning booth/bed.

How is a tanning bed worse than the real sun? You are confused. Both cause cancer.

Try spray tan, called mystic tan.

I don’t think based on you question, you have a choice

Spray on tans are usually more even than lotion tans. You are smart not to use a tanning bed. Tanning is bad for your skin and damages it. Skin is very unforgiving. What you do to it now you will pay for later so most dermatologists recommend faux tans like those achieved with lotions, creams or sprays.

How do you figure a tanning bed is any worse than laying out in the sun at the beach. If you dont want to actually tan go get a tan sprayed on, a good one looks really nice, so find somewhere that is known for doing a good job.

tanning is overated. try just being natural, besides, natrural doesn’t cause cancer!

    Come to the Caribbean
We have just what you need

If you are so lazy that after you tan you cant put some aloe on, or lotion, after you use a tanning bed, you may just want to stick to lighter skin, because spray tans make you look like a pumpkin.

Go to a tanning salon that offers the mystic/spray tan. They will last only about 3-5 days, sometimes 7 if you’re lucky. But it’s a better alternative than UV rays.

Well u could try the spray tan, some of the ones I’ve seen look awesome. Or try that loition by Jergens I use it and I can tell a diff. Good luck

Try a Mystic Tan–it’s a spray on that they have at tanning salons. It isn’t bad for your skin, and if you go to a quality salon, it will look natural and last you a while.

I used Neutrogena’s spray on tan last summer when I was in a wedding, and I had the best skin tone of all the bridesmaids. (And their tans were real!)

Lay out in your yard, get an extentions cord and put an electic heater maybe two next to you so it is blowing right on you. It will feel like summer time and you can get a nice tan.

If you refuse to get in a tanning bed then I don’t know what to tell you besides to try the lotions. Clinique has a self tanner that I used for my wedding and it worked but as it starts to fade it looks funny… My dermatologist actually advised me to tan in a tanning bed for my psoriasis so it must not be TOO bad. I know its not perfect though.
