Most young earth creationists claim that the earth is 6,000 years old (though the wikipedia page on this subject says the earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old). The dinosaurs existed over 100 million years ago, which disproves the young earth creationist myth regarding the age of the world.
What is the young earth creationist explanation for the dinosaurs?

I’ve heard young earth creationists try to explain the dinosaurs. According to carbon dating, the dinosaurs existed over 100 million years ago, which certainly disproves the creationist myth that the earth is merely 6,000 years old.
Creationists point to the fact that the characters in the book of Genesis lived uncannily long lives. For instance, Adam lived 930 years. Creationists say that reptiles, who supposedly continue to grow throughout their lives, who were around in the days of Adam and Eve lived just as long as the characters in Genesis; and accordingly, the reptiles had plenty of time to grow into dinosaurs.
The issue with the above theory is the fact that it ignores carbon dating, which creationists claim is flawed. However, creationists provide no plausible, scientific evidence that supports the claim that carbon dating is inaccurate.
