How do you feel about random people rubbing your pregnant belly?

How do you feel about random people coming up and rubbing your belly? I’ve been at wal-mart several times when people have come up to me and look and say "just one" and then rub my belly..sometimes its not to bad and i don’t mind, but othertimes i feel really awkward.. how do you ladies feel about this?

I had NO IDEA about this "phenomenon".
I can’t imagine anything more rude, invasive, and down right wrong.
I was out with a pregnant friend and total strangers would touch her. I suggested to this one guy that he rub my (not pregnant) belly. I wanted to know why he felt he could do that.
He looked at me like I was the crazy one!!!
If (God forbid) I ever get pregnant, I’m carrying around a squirt gun filled with water and shooting anyone who cops a feel.
I have only had one or two rub mine with this pregnancy. I really didn’t mind.
I don’t let anyone touch my belly!!!!! My close family is one thing but it is just weird when random people think they can touch your belly…I mean you can’t just touch a women’s belly when she is not pregnant what makes you think you can touch it know that they are!!!!!
I think it is freaking rude. Some lady did it to me at work so I tweaked her chest. Guess what? She didn’t rub me again.

this has happened to me sooo much i hate it…i mean its different if u know them i hate people i dont know touching me….AND saying how many babies are in there? i get that alot too

I think is rude and an invasion of space.
I wouldn’t let a stranger rub my belly. The thought makes me cringe.
I HATE it.
I’ve had to tell several people to step back, and stop touching me.
I don’t mind people I know doing it, but when random strangers start touching me, it really pisses me off.

It is rude how would they feel if you rubbed any of their body parts. PERSONAL SPACE. HELLO!!!
Family and friends are all who touch my belly… of course I just recently started really showing, and I’m honestly hoping I don’t have to start fending people off… I can’t imagine having people I don’t know touching my belly… not good…
I HATED it. I also hated it when strangers would ask (towards the very end of my pregnancy) if I was dilated or effaced at all. WTF? My cervix is sooo not up for discussion by strangers other than my midwives/OB.
I’ve only had a couple people rub my belly (aside from few family members). I usually keep a little distance between myself and others, which may be why. I’m really not very fond of physical contact, with the exception of with a few individuals.
i never had it happen except by my boyfriend’s mom and i hate it. It drives me nuts when people want to touch it or look at it.
i was at a friends engagement party and i hardly knew anyone there (my partner did though) and all his mates (whom i didnt know) kept coming up to me and rubbing my belly and asking after the baby…
i think it really cute and sweet, these guys are blokey guys and for them to be so caring about what is growing in m y tummy was really great to see..
i also get alot of randoms come up to me and ask for a rub, its weird but i think ohwell it is pretty special having a little baby growing inside.

Kinda weird, but i dont mind as long as i know the person, but if its a total stranger well then prepare to face my wrath! lol
