I am a normal weight and am happy with how I look except I have a pot belly! I have got a Abdotrim and I am starting to do crunches how many do I need to do every day to flatten out my belly?
I am vegetarian and eat a good diet- as I said I am not medically overweight I just seem to be built this way.
Thanks

Dave’s right, the crunches won’t do it.
But you don’t need to burn off all the fat in order to flatten your belly (the fat is also ’superficial’; it’s just below your skin). Its shape is determined by the deeper layers of muscle around your waist..
By working these deeper muscles effectively, a PILATES class can help you to tighten them and flatten your belly. In particular, a movement called a ‘pelvic tilt’ or ‘pelvic curl’ is useful for activating the lower part of your tummy. This part is normally very difficult to train, because ’standard’ ab exercises focus most of the effort above your bellybutton.
1000 a day.
Am afraid it is a common mis-conception that you can lose belly fat from doing sit-ups I just recommend you do half and hour relaxed jog every night and eat quite healthily. I did this when I reached a plateau on my weight loss, you know that little bit of belly fat that just won’t shift, so I took up the half hour a day jog and the usual weight training and in the space of a month my stomach was well toned.
DO sit-ups as well throughout your training and then your will have great well shaped stomach.
It’s no good eating Crunchies in these circumstances.
Crunches wont help. You need to lose weight. Crunches are the biggest myth every perpetrated on the fitness community.
If you want to lose your belly, whats the point of working out the shallowest muscles in the body when youve got a layer of fat over them?
