How do I take really good photos of myself to a point where it looks almost or is professional with a web cam?

I like how all my friends have awesome photos just using their web cams and my camera well it sucks. I hate it. So I like my web cam better.

Can anyone give me tips on how to make my photos of myself look good and practically professional just using a web cam?
I did ask them and they said they just take a lot of pictures of themselves and it comes out that way.

Squeezing anything that looks even close to pro quality is not going to happen with a web cam.

Maybe your friends are just good at composing their shots? Or Maybe they are good at photoshopping images to make themselves look better?

Simply asking them to show you how they do it might solve your problems.

    Are you kidding us?

That webcam has a sensor that is almost as tiny as most cell phones. Getting ANY kind of quality from them is not going to happen. Sure, you can set up some incandescent lamps as if you were shooting portraits, but the quality will be super poor.

Professionals use DSLR’s which have sensors that are about 50 times larger than a webcam. If you think of it as you would a television, think of the DSLR as a 60 inch digital plasma and your webcam as an analog 15 inch television on a rabbit ear antenna. I think you will get the idea
