I need to know how this event led to the confederate loss POLITICALY and ECONOMICLY.

it made peopel bolder. The speech made manufactures for the confederate feel sucky, so that they lost weapons economically. the politics is that Lincoln, the president said this.
I am only 14. this might be wrong.
