I had a normal delivery although I did require cutting because my son was not coming through easily
but other than that totally easy delivery.
How soon did you start walking after the birth of your child?
How long did you walk?
How soon after delivery did you do stomach exercises to get your stomach back into shape?
What were the results of your efforts?
Ladies I know activity is limited after a c-section this question is directed more so to women who delivered vaginally.
Thanks!

I started walking a week and a half after my first, about 20-30 minutes. After 3 weeks I resumed running, but very easy until the bleeding stopped. I believe I started sit-ups around 6 weeks after, and weights as well.
After my second in June I have not had the time nor the energy to work out much. I am lucky to get to the gym once a week! But I have lost all of my baby weight, plus 5lbs.
I walked around as soon as I was done getting stitched up. I’ve gone for long walks that I have to stop and nurse during.
For stomach exercises I’m 6 weeks pp and still don’t go out of my way to exercise them because I want to be sure the muscles have rejoined correctly first. Plus walking is burning the fat off better so I might (lol yeah right) be able to see if I have stomach muscles. Sit ups just build the muscle under the fat.
I didn’t have cutting but I did have an epidural. I was able to stand and walk to the bathroom right after and I found it quite easy to do so though I was a little wobbly. I had no trouble walking any distance. That same week we walk back and fourth to two doctors visits in the same day (about 10 miles in all). I was pretty tired after that day but I felt great. I did walk a lot right up to the day I was induced (two weeks late!) so I was in pretty good shape. I didn’t hurry into ab workouts but when I did I (2 months later) noticed it took a little more effort to get the same results than it did pre pregnancy.
Well, around 1 week PP I went to take a walk to the park(a couple blocks away), I was fine on the way there, but on the way back I guess I was overexerting myself as it felt like I was ripping my stitches out(Ouch!!)Totally hurt down there! I think around 2/3 week PP I could walk longer distances.
I started to do stomach excersises like 6 weeks after I had my son, but Ino very often or for long periods of time as I was so tired(still am lol)…
Actually, my stomach is looking pretty good now, back to the same shape, it’s just a little bit of extra pudge, and some stretch marks obviously, buty I am very happy with it now 10 weeks later…
I started walking around as soon as they wheeled me to my room. My son was in the NICU and I had to walk down a very long hallway and get on a elevator and take it upstairs to then walk all the way around that hallway to the nicu. I did this every 3 hours for 5 days. I have chronic high blood preasure so I had to stay longer.
