How do I start off a persuasive essay with a quote?

I’m writing a nonfiction essay and I have this quote to start off the essay, but how do I start it off?
Can you give an example of how I should start it?

here’s an example:
"When I was at the Johnson’s house, they treated me to a very nice dinner." If this is what Arthur said then it was a lie. He stole all their money and ran away. This is the reason why I think Arthur should go to prison.
then you just start out your essay.
I’m not saying that the example is what you should use i just made it up
and good luck with your essay.
quote a fam. member. its still a quote so it would work
____(the person who said it) once said "…..quote….". Through this quote (this person) shows …..
something kinda like that
