As I understand here are simply sentences that describe each one.

Intel Celeron - "Designed for your basic computing needs."

Intel Pentium - "Designed for great mobile performance, low power enhancements, and multitasking for everyday computing."

Intel Core Duo/Intel Core 2 Duo - "Designed for delivering optimized power efficient computing and breakthrough dual-core performance for intensive multitasking with amazingly low power consumption."

The Core Duo line of processors are the best of it’s class and fastest. But since you just use it for internet and word processor well basic computing needs a laptop with an Intel Celeron M is ok for these needs.

    Intel Celeron - Basic
    Intel Pentium - Premium
    Intel Core Duo - Ultimate
