How did Everything in our universe start?

I’ve always been interested in how and why and when our universe started.
I know little about the Big Bang Theory, but how did that happen? What made our universe happen?!
I remember my dad telling me about how in space there really isn’t a beginning or an end to things,
they just are.
Big Bang Theory, Dad, Universe

scientist predicts that it happened by a small piece of matter in the Universe that existed a long time ago and it exploded into many tiny little pieces and just started a universe.
After the big bang, around the microsecond, the galaxies began to evolve…but now to find out what created the big bang.
All matter of space (we, the earth, the sun, the planets) were cropped into a VERY VERY VERY SMALL object that expanded with enormeous power untill now (still expanding)
there was a beginning they know what was after the BIg Bang but not what was before,
also there won’t be an end, galaxy keeps expanding untill bilions of years, then it will crop back together in a very very very small object and explode again…… x infinite times
First, the "Horrendous Space Kablooie" (from Calvin & Hobbs). Why that happened, and what was before, no one is sure. It was at least 13.6 billion years ago.
Colliding universes, quantum physics imbalance, strings gone wild? Lots of good ideas, no evidence.
