How should I go about discussing a raise with my boss?

I’m only working a minimum wage job, but I just want to know the basics about raises and how long one has to perform well before an evaluation. How should I bring the topic up?

Raises anywhere are usually given every six months, conditions warranting. In order to be considered for a raise you need to show your employer how you have become more experienced and are now more of an asset to your workplace. Ever skill you have learned since starting, any cross training you have done will increase your chances, but time is simply not enough to warrant a raise unless they are given automatically. You need to prove how at this point in time you are worth more in order to justify a raise.
