How many creationists honestly believe that evolution is a monkey turning into a man?

Really - I see things like ‘how can you believe that monkeys turn into humans’ all the time. Do creationists honestly think that this is how the theory of evolution works?
If you really think that the thoery of evolution works this way, my profile accepts e-mail. Simply send any evolution questions you have, and I will be delighted to answer them. Or just post them here, and I’ll try to address them inside of Y!A.
So far, the biggest complaint I’m seeing about evolution is that the theory changes. Yes, the details do change - Darwin had no concept of Mendelian genetics. There are likely other details we will discover in time.
What this complaint boils down to is that science can admit that it wasn’t correct in every aspect. Evolution is updated as we get more info - and the second that info undeniably asserts a god, it’ll go in the theory.
I know that Cairo is a city in Egypt. I don’t know, or have a very poor idea, of what the residential district looks like - does this mean that Cairo is no longer a city in Egypt?
Just because details change, that doesn’t mean that the premise is wrong.

They willfully distort the truth to make it appear silly. The fact is that humans, monkeys and apes evolved from a common ancestor. I told this to one of those people and they said to prove it. I told them to read their bibles. If they deny that their god, whom they claim created all living things was not a ‘common ancestor’ to all living things, then they just denied their own ‘faith’. Those who didn’t walk away flustered, tried to hit me.
Willful ignorance
Ever since Darwin’s theory people have been making monkeys of themselves.
how many times do evolutionist change their story? who can keep track of the wild guesses?
How do you feel about the de-evolution theory?
There are a lot of things wrong with the THEORY of Evolution. If I was ever an Atheist I still wouldn’t believe that ****.
Jesus only interests me.
I am a "Creationist" in that I believe God created all. I also happen to believe that He created mankind through the process of evolution.
No, I do not honestly believe that humans evolved from monkeys, I believe that both monkeys and humans evolved from a common ancestor.
I believe Yahweh God controlled the stages of Evolution if it did occur I don’t know. I’m not a major Evolutionist believer. But nor do I believe the way Christians do concerning God.
Just more changing the theory to match the observation stuff again? has science determined whether that cup of coffee is good or bad again?
I don’t bother to learn about worthless dribble.
Even the so called "experts" in evolution don’ t believe it, so why should I. They would rather believe the unbelievable (evolution) than the unthinkable (creation) out of pure pride. They are too arrogant and proud to inform their followers (YOU) about their findings! It breaks the fundamental laws of physics, ie. entropy.
If you look at how perfect everything works in harmony. How far the Earth is from the sun. How the atmosphere here on earth is perfect to support life. How animals have special abilities….it just cracks me up that anyone could believe in evolution.
It would be interesting to see how the bat "EVOLVED" it’s own radar. I guess there must have been a heck of a large pile of dead bats laying around.
Do some research to find out that it is all a HUGE LIE (EVOLUTION).
Darwinism just confuses everything.
Who’s to say humans haven’t evolved? God never states that.
I don’t agree with evolution in the scientific sense, despite having it shoved down my throat by the schooling system for years. That doesn’t mean I think we were all monkeys once.
I believe that God created everything…and gave us confused individuals like Darwin and you just to keep us on our toes and the ability to laugh at humanity.
My high-school biology book, as well as numerous other sources I have come across since, all drone on about how apes are our ancestors - with some cro-magnon drawings thrown in there. Now, who is lying to me - you or them?
THE GAIA AND HYPER-GAIA HYPOTHESES
Scientific Evidence for Ephesians 4:15, 4:10 and 1 Corinthians 12:27
The Gaia Hypothesis states that all the life forms on Planet Earth work together to keep the planet life-bearing. There is much evidence for this. The heat output of the Sun has changed much down through the ages, and yet the temperature of our planet has maintained the narrow range necessary to maintain Life.
The level of atmospheric gasses has also remained, for the most part, a steady constant despite changing conditions. This is extremely important. If there were not enough oxygen in the atmosphere, fauna would die. If there were too much oxygen and not enough carbon dioxide and methane, plants would die and the atmosphere would be so flammable, fires would overrun the Earth.
Too much of both oxygen and carbon dioxide would also be fatal. But a third gas, methane, (produced by termites and digestion) is just abundant enough to keep the oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in check.
Some kind of biological feedback system must be working to keep all this balanced. As of yet, there is no evidence Gaia is sentient, but She is biological. I strongly suspect that any sufficiently advanced Gaia would evolve into Sentience.

I believe in what I call the Hyper-Gaia Hypothesis, that all or some of the Gaias in the Universe or Multiverse work together, to keep the Universe or Multiverse Life Bearing just as life on Earth works to keep Earth life bearing. This is a simple, logical, rational explanation for the Strong and Modified Weak Anthropic Principle, and for the testimony of billions of people, (the author included) who have felt a loving "PRESENCE" when engaged in loving, submissive and welcoming prayer towards Christ.
An article in the December 2001, Reader’s Digest on page 141 on brain scan images of people experiencing the Divine indicates that feeling this PRESENCE is neither epilepsy nor Schizophrenia. We are hardwired to interact with what we call God, and you can be sure that, as with everything we are hard wired to experience, it has survival value.
Phase I Of Evolution and Beyond
The biggest leap forward in evolution occurred when different life forms learned to cooperate with one another. We went from being single celled organisms to multicellular organisms and from that major change grew all the variety we see around us. Love and cooperation, not competition, is what drives much of evolution, and among other things, "Christ is Love." (First Epistle of John 4:8).
I propose that the term, "supernatural" does not mean "antinatural." God is as natural a Being as any other life form. I propose as Teilhard De Chardin did, that if the evolutionary process really is so strong that Humans and Whales can evolve from pond scum in just five billion or so years, God is perfectly capable of evolving in ten billion or so years. The pond scum did not even know where it was going and it had no will. We at least have a vague idea of where we are going, and we have the desire. Heaven also is buildable because Humanity is so tenacious we get what we want eventually. We saw birds fly we learned to build machines that let us fly. We saw the Moon, we went there. We want to live forever, we evolve into God and build Heaven, just as we built Manhattan, the International Space Station and Disney World. To understand the Universe, all of space and time, one must see it as a whole. The next five billion years are every bit as real as the five billion years that have just come. The Universe (and us) are works in progress and are nowhere near finished yet. We are looking at a half unfinished construction site and seeing a mess. Do not judge any construction site by what it looks like while still half finished. Judge it only by its finished state. God is the natural result of a perfectly natural process we can understand. Every link in the long evolutionary chain is the natural result of the link right before it, one stair step after another, one long and difficult but far from impossible climb. The journey is difficult and often painful but I believe the results are well worth it!
The pressure to survive will make this evolution necessary. The Universe we live in will not last forever. And when it dies you can be sure Life will not peacefully roll over and play dead. That is not the nature of life. So Life will "grow into the Head which is Christ" (Ephesians 4:15), in order to survive the end of this Universe, (if we haven’t already done it sooner). Life will either have to find or make another universe, "a new Heavens and a new Earth," or repair this one. Either way we can’t do it at our present level of development. Life will have to "grow into the Head which is Christ" just to survive. If we don’t make it, it is a big Universe, somewhere Somebody will. Trying to stop evolution all over the Universe fr
But you don’t understand. That contains a very damning criticism of Evolution, noted years ago by the philosopher Etienne Gilson :
The book is
From Darwin to Aristotle and Back
By Etienne Gilson
A more accurate title for Darwin’s book, according to Gilson, would be the Origin of Varieties. Darwin’suse of the word “species,” however, is contradictory. “To say that species are fixed,” Gilson writes, “is a tautology; to say that they change is to say that they do not exist, Why does Darwin obstinately say thatthey transform themselves, rather than saying simply that they do not exist?” (pp. 140-1)
This is a most crucial point, for scientists today continue to designate as species what are really only varieties of the original kind. Such use of misleading terminology – and the term evolution is itself another prime example – is the primary rhetorical tool of the evolutionists.
Johnston rightly appraises Gilson’s book in this way:There are three metaphysical concepts that an evolutionist cannot avoid addressing: mechanism, final causality, and teleology. The great merit of Gilson’s book is that it explains these ideas and how theytend to be misused by modern scientists eager to philosophize about their data.

I am not a Creationist but my Plant Biology background has disabused me of any belief in Evolution. You should kiss those Creationists on both cheeks. They are trying to teach you something.

You were saying?
Updating? you mean come up with a more realistic sounding lies that’s all. If evolution was non - fiction it wouldn’t have to constantly be revised. It’s just as fictionous as Friday the 13th but with more retakes.
But don’t worry, we Christians know atheists can’t stand the Truth. ? † ? ?
This is one problem with creationists - a lot of them damn evolution without actually understanding what it is.
The THEORYof evolution and the big bang THOERY, are not a facts as evolutionist claim they are unproven THEORIES . First I’d suggest that you look up the definition of the word fact, then the definition of the word proven ,, then research the endless number of unlikely coincidences that the THEORY’S depend on and calculate the odds that they could have all just happened to work out just right in order for life to even happen. I think you’ll conclude that it takes more faith to believe these THEORIES then to trust God at His word. The big bang THEORY and THEORY of evolution are federally funded , government promoted RELIGION forced on our childeren regaurdless of our fellings .If your unproven belief’s can get government funding in a country that’s supposed to treat all religions fairly and equally where’s the federal funding for creationism ???? God bless.
Some do. I have talked to people who ask "If we evolved/come from monkeys, why are there still monkeys? Not all creationists think that way, some have some interesting points. But I personally think evolution is not flawed, at least not yet.
During a long time people used to believe earth was flat. Now we know they werw wrong They used their faith to defend their point, which turned out to be wrong. Scientific opinions also change, and evolution will definitely change or be replaced in the future. We know nothing that we can be completely sure about.
