How often do you interact with your closest relatives and friends?

Please share your perspective on this debate I’m having.

My sister and I disagree on how much time constitutes a good/close relationship. My sister feels that in order for two people to be considered close, they have to speak to each other every day. I disagree. So how often do YOU talk on the phone and/or visit with your closest relatives and friends?

You are in a quandary here. The friends I am closest to I Speak to sometimes several times a day and some times a day goes by without speaking to them yet they are still on my mind. So weather you speak to the person 5 times a day for 2 days or 4 days in a row then once a day for a while and if you miss a day they are on your mind as you are on their mind. If you love them and they love you and you know they really love you its ok not to speak to them for a day or a week. Truth If you love them and they love you even if you haven’t spoken to them in 3 days and you feel your need to connect or they call you cause they haven’t heard your voice in 24 hours. That’s love. That’s a soul connection. You know it when it happens. Just like when you don’t see your sister for an entire weekend and your glad to get rid of her abd at the same time you wish she was with you and suddenly the phone rigs and it’s her. That’s a soul connection you just know it when it’s there.

It is a natural process of life that when two or more persons are always too close to one another, friction will start and all bad effects will surface and spoil the whole show.

In Chinese Modern thinking in Asia, a young couple when married will be ask to stay out on their own and pay regular visits to the main family (the HQ) weekly, monthly or yearly. In this way, less meeting each other per day, less conflict, less unhappiness for all. The better effects are: much closer feeling when meet, less quarrel, more short talk & fun time. It is always said " Much stronger tie when at a distance and not too close".
