How do you add a newly downloaded plugin to iMovie and add it to your project?

I just downloaded the snow effect plug in. I’ve already copied it to the Plugins folder in iMovie, but I don’t know how to add it to my project. Can anyone please tell me how? Thanks.

    Which version of iMovie?
In iMovie HD, click on ‘Editing’ - lower right of your screen then ‘Video FX’ - top right of your screen.
To my knowledge, none of the later versions of iMovie (08, 09) support 3rd party plugins.
