What is the best way to start learning the Korean language?

I am moving to South Korea in a few months and I don’t want to go in completely blind. What books are recommended? Best way of finding a language tutor near Seoul or Camp Casey?

And a completely unrelated question, but how hard is it to find foreign foods there? Like German food? Or American food?

Well, for the Language part, I can tell you how I learned:

I first learned the alphabet and then changed all of my computer, IPOD and whatnot to ‘hangeul’. The best way to learn a language is to emmerse yourself in it.

As far as books, I’d say for with the "Korean Dictionary & Phrasebook" by Jeyseon and Kangjin Lee. Also the Langenscheidt Pocket Korean Dictionary (though learn hangeul for this, because even though it’s romanized, the romanizations are incorrect, but the hangeul is correct). And the SPEAK Korean phrasebook with common Korean sentence. This one also helps with sentence structure and has some courtesy tips. :3
